About HealthReview

One pharmacist. One purpose: explain what the number on your report actually means.

HealthReview is a one-person site. I’m Suman Konda – a clinical pharmacist registered with the Telangana State Pharmacy Council – and I write everything here.

I started this because of something I kept running into at work. A patient walks in holding a lab report. Sometimes the doctor said everything is fine; sometimes the results just arrived on an app with no explanation at all. Either way, they’re standing there with a page of abbreviations and reference intervals and no idea what any of it means. Not because they aren’t smart – because nobody explained it to them.

That gap is something a pharmacist can help with. Blood test interpretation is part of the job: what a drug does to the body, how the body responds, which blood markers show something changing. The articles here are that work, written in plain language so you can read your own report rather than just hoping the number was fine.

What this site is – and what it isn’t

Every article starts from peer-reviewed literature on PubMed or the NCBI Bookshelf, not from other health websites. Reference ranges are cross-checked against at least two laboratory sources because they differ between methods – a single universal number overstates the certainty. Clinical claims link to their source so you can check them yourself.

This is not a medical practice. I don’t diagnose, I don’t interpret individual results, and I don’t sell anything. The site runs on advertising, which is disclosed on every page, and it has no influence on what any article says. I have no commercial relationship with any laboratory or manufacturer.

The honest scope: medicines, laboratory reference ranges, drug interactions, therapeutic monitoring. Diagnosis belongs to the physician who knows your full history. That line is in the text on every page, not just the disclaimer, because blurring it would make this site less useful.

Corrections and contact

If something here is clinically wrong, please use the contact page with the URL and the source you’re working from. Medical accuracy errors go to the top of the queue. Everything else – feedback, suggestions, media – is welcome through the same page.
