Who We Are and How to Contact Us

HealthReview (healthreportreview.org) is an independent educational health information website written and operated by Suman Konda, PharmD, a clinical pharmacist registered with the Telangana State Pharmacy Council, Telangana, India. We publish plain-language explanations of blood tests, medical conditions, symptoms, and medicines.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

We do not ask you to create an account, submit a form, or provide your name, email, or any health information. The data processed in connection with your visit falls into two categories:

Hosting and security logs (Cloudflare): When any page loads, Cloudflare – our hosting and content-delivery provider – automatically records the request. These logs contain IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, and timestamp. Cloudflare retains these for up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not access individual log entries for marketing; we view only aggregate performance metrics.
Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics): We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics product that measures page views, traffic sources, and device type without setting cookies and without tracking individuals across sites. No personal identifiers are transmitted or stored.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): If you consent via our cookie banner, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies on your device to serve interest-based advertisements. If you decline or choose "Essential only", we signal non-consent through Google Consent Mode v2 – advertising storage and ad personalisation remain denied and only non-personalised ads may appear.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies to your visit, we process data on the following bases:

Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Cloudflare infrastructure logs, which we need to operate and secure the site. Our interest in keeping the site running and preventing abuse outweighs the minimal privacy impact of temporary IP-log retention.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Advertising and analytics cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners. We collect this consent through our cookie banner before any such cookies are placed, and you can withdraw it at any time using the "Cookie choices" link in the footer.

If you are located in India, we process data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act). We do not process sensitive personal data, we do not process children's data, and we do not transfer data to countries that are not permitted under applicable rules.

Google AdSense and Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Where you have given consent, Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising policies.

Your Rights

Because we do not hold accounts or identifiable user profiles, most of these rights apply in practice to data held by our third-party processors (Cloudflare, Google). Data Retention

We do not store your personal data on our own servers – we are a static website with no database. Cloudflare retains infrastructure logs for up to 30 days. Google retains advertising and analytics data in accordance with its own retention policies, which you can review at policies.google.com/technologies/retention. Your cookie consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage and persists until you clear it.

International Data Transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate globally, including in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the UK, it is protected by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or equivalent safeguards. Third-Party Links

Our pages link to external websites – primarily PubMed citations, clinical guidelines, and authoritative health organisations. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing any information.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy when our practices change, when the law requires it, or when we add new features. Changes take effect when posted on this page; we update the "last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
